Hello Reader, Happy New Year... oops, in April! We are glad to connect with you again in 2026, even if it is in April. We have not relented; we are still in the business of helping you find good books and develop a reading habit. Google Meet Book Reviews If you follow us on our Facebook community and other channels, you would know that we have already finished three books as a club this year; one book for each month. But not only that. In March, Naija Book Club began holding monthly book reviews on Google Meet, yay! We have been considering this more interactive format of reviews for a while and now finally have the capacity to organize it. We started off on a great note on 30th March by reviewing Dan Brown’s Secret of Secrets. One of the highlights of the session was the debate about Brown’s central premise. Several members admired how the book blends science with philosophical speculation, creating a narrative that pushes readers to think about the future of human knowledge. Others pointed out that while the novel is entertaining, some of its scientific claims stretch plausibility, raising questions about the realism of the references. We invite you to join us for the next review [date to be announced]. Keep an eye out for the date on the Facebook group or WhatsApp channel. Accountability Community Are you still struggling to stay consistent with reading? Come join our exclusive accountability community. If you’ve always wanted to read more but find it difficult to stay committed, you’re not alone. We help members like you develop a sustainable reading habit with a structured and enjoyable approach. If this sounds like what you’d like, send a message on WhatsApp or reply to this email to get started. April’s Book The book of the month for April is Judge Stone by James Patterson and Viola Davis. Judge Stone is a legal thriller novel published in March 2026. It is about a respected Alabama judge, Mary Stone, who presides over a controversial case involving a doctor torn between duty, morality, and justice. Who will join us to read this novel? Until we circle back into your inbox like a plot twist…
