Hello Reader,

Happy New Year 2025! Out with the old, in with the new, right? As we embark on another year of literary adventure together, we have some exciting updates to share.

But before then, here’s the complete list of books Naija Book Club read in 2024. We read one book each month, totaling 12 books as a club.

  1. January: The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma. A self-help book about building morning routines to improve productivity and success.
  2. February: The Great Ponds by Elechi Amadi is a classic African novel set in Nigeria. It focuses on community conflict and cultural beliefs.
  3. March: Morgan Housel's The Psychology of Money explores how emotions and behaviors influence financial decisions more than knowledge.
  4. April: I Do Not Come to You by Chance by Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani. A powerful novel about family obligations and the Nigerian email scam industry.
  5. May: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* by Mark Manson. A self-help book encouraging readers to embrace limitations and focus on what truly matters.
  6. June: Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. A gripping historical fiction set during the Biafran War in Nigeria.
  7. July: The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma. A fable about achieving life balance and personal growth through spiritual wisdom.
  8. August: How to Finish Everything You Start by Jan Yager. A practical guide on overcoming procrastination and improving task completion.
  9. September: Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek. An insightful book on leadership qualities and creating trust within teams.
  10. October: Rinsed: From Cartels to Crypto How the Tech Industry Washes Money for the World’s Deadliest Crooks by Geoff White. Rinsed is a revelatory investigation into the new army of innovative criminals using tech to launder money … and the consequences for all of us.
  11. November: City of Joy by Dominique Lapierre and Fine Things by Danielle Steel. These heartfelt novels are about personal strength, love, and resilience.
  12. December: Sapiens: A Brief History of Mankind by Yuval Noah Harari. A thought-provoking exploration of human history, from evolution to modern society.
